THE VALUES
Gospel Fluency
The MESSAGE.
The Gospel is the language of Christianity. We must know it, repeat it and speak it to others and ourselves, for the purpose of both conversion and growth.
The MISSION.
The Gospel is the proclamation of God’s great rescue plan. We have the honor of joining in with a sending God.
The MOTIVATION.
The Gospel tells us we can be fully approved of and accepted by God only because of the person and work of Jesus Christ. We do not serve to earn and we do not grow in our own strength. We rest and rejoice in the Gospel.
Spirit Dependency
The PURPOSE.
We are to be people of the Spirit. We must be Spirit-led and reliant on the Holy Spirit to shape our community.
The POWER.
We need the Spirit for power to live on mission and to bear witness to Jesus’ work in our hearts. We rely on the Holy Spirit to empower us to be faithful in our spiritual disciplines and to enable all true spiritual activity and growth.
The PASSION.
As the Spirit reveals the person and work of Jesus Christ to our hearts, we respond by directing our energy and our emotions to celebrate His goodness. All expressions of passion are rooted in Scripture and directed by the Holy Spirit.
Biblical Community
Our IDENTITY
We are “in Christ”. He is the head and we are the body. We each have a part to play and that we need one another. There are no lesser parts.
Our IMAGE.
We have been created in the image of a triune God; God has always existed in relationship. We have been created for relationship.
Our INTENT.
We have been called to build one another up and to speak the truth in love to one another. We are committed to sharing life and loving each other for Jesus’ sake.
